Harworth Estates scoops 'Property Deal of the Year' for Rolls-Royce projects

The AMP Rolls-Royce projects have brought Harworth Estates the 'Insider Property Deal of the Year' title at the South Yorkshire Property Awards.

The sale of 32 acres of land on the AMP in Rotherham, worth around £11m to Rolls-Royce secured the award. Rolls-Royce plans are for three facilities including an aerospace Advanced Blade Casting Facility, the Project PoWeR, civil nuclear production facility and a further third factory.

The deal beat other short-listed projects;  Plusnet's 53,000 sq ft letting at The Balance, Sheffield, and the Next warehouse deal at Redhouse Interchange, Doncaster for the title.

Duncan Armstrong-Payne, Waverley development manager for Harworth Estates said;  "We are extremely pleased to win this prestigious award. It is the culmination of a number of years of hard work to establish the AMP at Waverley which has involved successful joint working with a number of stakeholders and agencies.
