The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at the new Sheffield City College is looking for support from businesses in the next academic year. This is a great opportunity to be part of something very dynamic, exciting and at the cutting edge of business education in FE.
Current opportunities include:
- Create a live project alongside us and embed it into the course. Get a team of students working on something real!
- Support students on a one-to-one basis as part of our monthly business surgeries. Meet other businesses!
- Mentor students engaged in business start-up. Our students set up their own businesses and register as self employed!
- Give presentations or run workshops. Tell your story and share your expertise in the classroom!
- Provide trading opportunities for students. Trading is a huge part of the course; help students make money from their ideas!
- Provide work place visits. We love getting out and seeing businesses on-site!
- Provide a project placement to a student. Get a pro-active, business-minded student for 4 consecutive weeks, working on a meaningful project for you!
Enterprise and Finance apprenticeship courses will also be held from September and you could get up to £1,500 of funding. Students work alongside your business for 4 days per week and 1 day per week at College.
