Companies operating machine tools will be able to benefit from extended tool life, improved component quality, reduced maintenance & spare parts costs, and much more thanks to Rotherham based Fluid Maintenance Solutions Ltd.

Fluid Maintenance Solutions Ltd have been appointed by RBM di Battistutta of Italy as the sole United Kingdom agent for their IFDR range of advanced metalworking fluid filtration solutions for machine tools and grinding systems. These have been proven in many different applications on machine tools from leading manufacturers including Mazak, Mori Seiki, Hermle, Kitamura, Mandelli, Tachella Cross, Favretto, and CB Ferrari.

Extended tool life, improved component quality, reduced fluid use and disposal, elimination of paper media purchases and disposal, elimination of maintenance and spare parts costs have all been reported by those who have retrofitted IFDR systems to their existing machine tools.

The IFDR system works by removing contamination from the metalworking fluid used in machine tool systems. The cleaner the metalworking fluid being delivered to the cutting zone, the greater the machining performance and the reduced cost per part is achieved.

Steve Thompson, Director at Fluid Maintenance Solutions Ltd said “As engineers with metalworking fluid sales experience we are very aware of how much waste is generated in the use of these fluids and the IFDR systems are a true step change in metalworking fluid filtration technology.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to supply these unique solutions to UK manufacturers. By investing in a demonstration unit for shop floor trials we can show the benefits that IFDR can provide first hand.”

Speaking about the appointment, Mr. Enrico Battistutta, Managing Director of RBM said “The choice of Fluid Maintenance Solutions Ltd as our representative in the UK is because they share the same values related to the environment and the possibility of waste recycling, and significantly reducing the environmental impact ensuring a perfectly clean metalworking fluid and its longer life”
