Online Property Map Help Guide

Our interactive property maps use the Google Maps interface, so you may already be familiar with this from searching the web. If not however, some basic functions are outlined below.

Switching layers on/off

To switch sizeband and other layers on and off, you need to click the menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the map.

A menu will then appear with the different layers. Switch them on and off by ticking/unticking the corresponding tick box.

You can hide the list by clicking the menu button again, or clicking back on the map.

Navigating around the map

To move around the map, left click the map, hold and drag. To zoom in and out, double left click to zoom in, double right click to zoom out. Alternatively, you can use the '+' or '-' icons in the bottom left-hand corner of the map.

Accessing information on a property

Simply left click on a property icon to view information about the property and access relevant links.

Changing the map background

Each map has a road layout background as default, so that you can easily see the location of each property and the surrounding transport infrastructure. You can easily change this to a satellite view by clicking the aerial photo option at the bottom of the map menu.

The header bar

The three right-most icons on the bar perform different functions. The first is the star icon, which allows you to highlight the map for future reference in your own Google maps, if logged in using a Google account. The second is the share icon and lets you share the map with friends and colleagues via social media. The third allows you to view the map in full screen mode.
